Hourly pay rate $16.00
Job Summary
Looking for a full or part time Instructor to work in our Adult Day Life Skills program in Port Charlotte. Hours are Monday thru Friday between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Community Resource Networks Adult Day Programs are looking for Instructors who are dedicated and fun! At our Programs we teach individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities with a person-centered approach. We assist individuals with learning Self-Advocacy, Rights Education, Health and Safety and to become as independent as possible in daily living/job skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide individual-specific service in compliance with service descriptions as defined in service directory/specific attachments and core assurances
- Complete all documentation requirements, including daily notes/service logs and summaries on progress toward established support plan and implementation plan goals.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
- Report all changes in the Individuals condition to the manager or director
- Greet / assist and escort Individuals to their classrooms, and all areas within the facility.
- Classes and activities will be facilitated daily and adhere to the Person-Centered philosophy.
- Assist Individuals with meals. Assist Individuals with bowel and bladder functions
- Ensure the health and safety of all Individuals, and that Individuals are treated with kindness, dignity and respect.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school Diploma or GED required
- College credits or degree can substitute for experience
- Must pass Level II background
- Must pass drug screen
Requirements
A minimum of one year of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or child care/ adult care setting or working with individuals who have an intellectual and/or developmental disability. College credits or degree can substitute for time of service.
